Close Call...

Wed Nov 18, 2009, 7:32 PM
I almost failed a math test yesterday...

...all because I forgot to turn off my freakin' cell phone! -w-;

About 10 minutes into the test, my cell phone started ringing. I just ignored it, embarrassing as it was, but then my professor asked who's cell phone was ringing, so I said it was mine, but I wasn't answering it. Cuz, of course, honesty is the best policy. Right? =p

Well, it turns out her policy was that if a cell phone goes off during a test, the student responsible for it has to hand in their test as is at that very moment and leave. XwX; Seeing as how we'd just begun the test, it would have been a very, very bad day for me...except that she decided to ask the rest of the class if they remembered that policy and no one did, so she just said 'well, remember it for next time' and i was allowed to finish my test. THANK GOD!!

Unfortunately, i didn't dare touch my cell phone after that (for fear she'd think i actually HAD been trying to cheat), so i couldn't turn it off and spent the rest of the exam period terrified that it would ring again and then i'd be screwed. @w@;; So, i dunno how well i did on the test with such jangled nerves...oh well. -w-;

I really can't blame my professor...policies like that are in place to prevent students from cheating. I'm just a little miffed at myself for being so absentminded with my damn phone...and super pissed that people feel the need to cheat on exams with their phones in the first place. WTF people?! Just study, dammit and if you get a bad grade, try harder next time! Stupid jerk-face jerks!! >w<#

That is all.
